PYE ROAD

Pye Road Meadworks is boutique Meadery in Odessa, Florida, a charming small community located 15 minutes north of Tampa International Airport.  Owners Matt and Debbie McDonough opened Pye Road in March of 2021 after almost two years of planning and construction with the goal of creating an upscale but casual spot featuring hand-crafted honey wines, sparkling session meads, and a top-notch selection of craft beers from national brewers on draft and to-go. Our space is casual cool, and we’ve got something on tap for everyone – elevate your drink game with Pye Road!

WHAT

IS MEAD?

Considered the oldest-known fermented beverage, mead is – at its core – fermented honey mixed with water and yeast. But that simple description doesn’t scratch the surface of what mead is today! Today’s mead can be dry, sweet, fruity, spiced, carbonated… like craft beer, the possibilities are endless!

At Pye Road, we specialize in two types of mead. First, our dessert-style meads are intensely fruited, flavorful wines crafted by hand right in our facility here on Gunn Highway. Served by the pour or in flights, these “still” meads are made to be sipped, savored, and shared! Additionally, our line of Joyrides – carbonated, lower ABV “session” meads – are designed for those hot summer days! Flavorful and refreshing and available in pours, flights, or on-demand cans to go, our Joyride line is perfect for our Florida lifestyle.
